Where are dates in the grocery store?
Short Answer: You will almost always find dates in the produce section of your local grocery store.
In the produce section, they will usually be near, or right next to the bananas.
If they are not here, your grocery store may have them in bulk bins nearby.
Most grocery stores do sell dates, so if you cannot find them, be sure to ask a store employee. They should be able to point you in the right direction.

Keep in mind, the stores near us may be bigger, or smaller than the ones you frequently shop at. So, some store layouts can look different than others.
In Safeway, you can find dates in the produce section. Here, you will find them in plastic containers.
In King Soopers, you can find dates on the edge of the produce section near the bananas.
At Whole Foods you can find dates in the produce section next to the bananas. There were no bulk bins at the location we went to.

Outside of these benefits, they are high in many vitamins and minerals including vitamin B6, potassium and magnesium.
When comparing dates to other fruits, they do have a higher calorie count. This is happens because they are dried.
Dried fruits generally contain more calories than fresh fruits like an apple.
